Hi Everyone and welcome to my final edition of Soul Inspirations for 2017.
As I sit here on this brisk December day in New England writing my last newsletter for 2017, I’m pondering what I want to say at this particular time with the holidays upon us, and the year winding down. I guess for me, this year and specifically now, it’s about acknowledging and being grateful for the blessings that are around me and giving back and sharing what I have – any way I can. So much has happened this year for so many people all around the planet. Some good and of course – some not so good. That’s why once again: I remind myself to be grateful for what is good in my life.
I know that many of you will be rushing around preparing for that special time with family, loved ones, and friends. Yet … there are many who may feel alone. Perhaps they’ve lost that special someone, or they're unable to celebrate the way they want for themselves or their family because they’ve fallen on hard times due to finances or illness.
If you've been getting messages from your soul or thoughts have popped into your head about how you really want to ‘give back’ to someone or an organization, then please follow those intuitive promptings. Now can be the perfect time to embrace the spirit of the season. Be the candle for someone. Show them the light so they don’t lose hope, and truly know that people really do care.
Helping someone this holiday season, even in a small way, can create a positive ripple effect that reaches farther that you could ever imagine! The person you may help doesn’t even have to know you. I recall one time when I had just moved to my neighborhood and went into the post office. I could tell the person behind the counter was sad for some reason. When I left I kept thinking about her and so one day I was guided to bring her a Gerber daisy. I placed it on her counter when she was in the back of the post office with a simple note that said: “Someone is thinking of you today.” Now, I’m not sure how it affected her, but I just hope it brought some light into her day. We can touch people’s lives. We are all miraculous beings; sometimes we just need to be reminded. One person can really make a difference. That person is you!
